Almond Flour Mug Cake

Almond flour mug cake is a moist, rich, nutty and fluffy mug cake made with almond flour. This easy gluten free mug cake takes 1- 2 minutes to mix and 1 minute to cook in the microwave.

Grab your favorite mug. It should hold at least 12 oz. (360 ml) of liquid.

Step 1:  

Place the coconut oil in the mug. Microwave the coconut oil until it’s melted, about 30 seconds in the microwave. 

Step 2:  

Whisk in the egg until lightly beaten. Whisk in the maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Step 3:  

Once the wet ingredients have been whisked in, stir in the cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and almond flour.

Step 4:  

If you would like, stir in 1 tablespoon chocolate chips as well.

Step 5:  

Microwave the almond flour mug cake in the microwave for 60 - 90 seconds (1 - 1 ½ minutes).

Step 6:  

Allow the mug cake to cool for 2 - 3 minutes. Top the cooled chocolate chips or fresh berries if you like and enjoy.
