Chocolate Tahini Freezer Fudge

This chocolate tahini freezer fudge is made from a buttery press in almond flour crust topped with maple sweetened tahini fudge and flaky salt.

To make the brown butter, melt butter in a clear heavy bottom sauce pan. Once the butter starts to foam, whisk continuously until brown bits start to form.

Step 1:

Remove from heat, pour into clean bowl and cool 10-15 minutes before mixing with the dry ingredients.

Step 2:

Line an 8x8 (20 cm) pan with parchment paper along the bottom and two sides. Leave 1-2 inches of an overhang on the two lined sides.

Step 3:

Whisk together the almond flour, maple sugar, cinnamon and salt in a medium sized mixing bowl. Stir in the slightly cooled brown butter. Mix well to combine. Press the mixture into the prepared pan. Place in the freezer to set for 20 minutes.

Step 4:

In a saucepan melt the 4 tablespoons butter. Once the butter has melted, pour in the tahini, maple syrup, and maple sugar. Stir well to fully combine. Once the mixture is well combined, remove the pot from the heat. Whisk in the cocoa powder and vanilla extract until well combined.

Step 5:

Pour the chocolate maple tahini mixture onto the almond flour crust. Place the pan back in the freezer for 2-3 hours or until fully set.

Step 6:

Once set, remove the fudge from the freezer and sprinkle with flaky salt. Remove the fudge from the pan using the overhangs of parchment paper, slice and enjoy.
