Ingredients and Substitutions
This light and fresh salsa with peaches requires only a handful of simple ingredients to make and you probably already have them in your pantry and fridge. Here’s what you’ll need and substitutions if you are missing an ingredient.

- Peaches: Use fresh, in season peaches. Make sure the peaches are sweet and ripe, but still firm. If needed, frozen and thawed peaches will also work well.
- Tomatoes: Use fresh, ripe and still firm tomatoes.
- Bell Peppers: Feel free to use your preferred color of bell peppers.
- Red Onion: For a more mild onion, feel free to use shallots. For a slightly sweeter onion, vidalia onions work well. If you like the look of red onions but want less of a “bite” soak the diced onions in cold water for 10 minutes. Drain and pat the onions dry before adding to the salsa.
- Jalapenos: Use fresh, not pickled jalapenos. Remove the seeds for a barely spicy salsa. For more spicy heat, add the seeds of the jalapenos into the salsa. If you prefer to skip jalapenos all together, dice a green bell pepper.
- Cilantro: Use fresh cilantro if you like the taste, otherwise use parsley or basil.
- Lime: This is the preferred citrus for the other ingredients.

How To Store, Freeze and Thaw
- Store: Store peach salsa in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 2 - 3 days. Although, this fresh sweet and spicy salsa is best enjoyed within 1 day of being made.
- Freeze and Thaw: I do not recommend freezing and thawing the peach dip salsa. The texture of the salsa changes so much from the texture of the salsa when made fresh.
