Why Should You Make This Recipe

I have several fun and creative, no bake chocolate recipes on the blog. My personal favorites at the moment are my Cookie Fudge and  Chocolate Covered Oreos, These chocolate covered graham crackers are another fun and easy treat I know you’ll love!

  • They are quick, easy and fun to make. These dipped graham cookies are made using 4 ingredients you probably already have in your pantry. They take about 10 minutes to make and 15 minutes to set.
  • They’re a delicious and beautiful no bake cookie. These chocolate covered grahams are so simple to make and result in a beautiful and endlessly adaptable holiday cookie.

Ingredients

These chocolate dipped graham crackers require only a handful of ingredients to make and you probably already have them in your house. Make sure you have these ingredients ready to go!

Gather graham crackers, white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate melting candies and any toppings you like.

Substitutions

If you need them, here are my recommended substitutions for this chocolate covered graham cracker recipe:

  • Graham Crackers: Feel free to use any graham crackers you like and have on hand. Buttery and salty Ritz crackers or pretzels would also be delicious.
  • Candy Melts: After a few attempts of using other chocolates, I highly recommend using white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate candy melts. If you need to, use a good quality chocolate bar. Avoid using chips if possible as they clump rather than melt into a smoothing coating.

Variation

Toppings: Feel free to use crushed toffee candy, finely chopped nuts, flaky salt, crushed peppermint candy or holiday themed sprinkles. Tip: Just make sure to top the fudge graham cookies within a minute or two of covering them in chocolate. This is especially important when using candy melts.

How To Make

Let me show you just how to make chocolate covered graham crackers:

  1. Pour the chocolate wafers or bark into microwave safe bowls. Heat in 30 second increments in the microwave until the chocolate is fully melted. Stir the chocolate in between each increment.
  2. Once the chocolate has melted dip each side of the graham cracker into the chocolate. Use a fork to flip the graham cookie from one side to the other. Coat the other side with chocolate.
  3. Using one fork on each side, gently lift the chocolate dipped graham cracker and shake any excess chocolate back into the bowl. Place the chocolate graham cookies onto a large piece of wax paper. Set the chocolate covered crackers for a couple of minutes before topping with a drizzle of chocolate.
  4. Transfer the chocolate graham cracker cookies in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to set and enjoy!

How To Store

To store leftover chocolate covered treats: These no bake chocolate covered graham crackers store well in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 weeks.

M’s Expert Tips

  • Stir the chocolate frequently. This prevents the chocolate from burning and also promotes even melting.
  • Use melting candy, wafers or chocolates. They melt faster and more evenly.
  • If using chocolate chips, add a teaspoon of coconut oil to give the chocolate more shine.
  • Set the graham crackers on parchment paper or wax paper.
  • Top the graham crackers within 1-2 minutes of dipping them in the chocolate. Candy melts or chocolate candy coating sets quickly even at room temperature.

FAQs

How long do chocolate covered graham crackers last?

They last 3-4 weeks when stored in an airtight container at room temperature.

Can I make my chocolate covered graham crackers harden faster?

To set the chocolate faster, cool the chocolate dipped crackers in the fridge for 10 minutes.

Do you top with a drizzle of chocolate before or after?

Let the chocolate covered graham crackers set for 1-2 minutes before topping with sprinkles.
